Formerly the site of the ABLA public housing project, Roosevelt Square is a 160-acre multi-phase, mixed-income development that will ultimately bring more than 2,000 housing units to Chicago’s Near West Side. The most recent project within the development was Taylor Street Apartments and the Little Italy Chicago Public Library Branch, completed in 2019.

Currently under construction, Roosevelt Square Phase 3B includes 222 new mixed-income apartments across three new construction mid-rise buildings with a mix of studios, one-, two- and three-bedrooms. Included in this phase is the restoration of the last remaining Jane Addams building, which will house the new National Public Housing Museum. As part of this phase, Related Midwest and partners are reinvesting in 184 existing affordable apartments that were built during Phase 1.

Roosevelt Square includes 45,000 SF of retail space featuring Fresh Stop Produce & Deli and The Slice Shop, a local grocer and pizzeria.
