4300 W. Roosevelt is a 21-acre site located at Roosevelt Road and Kostner in Chicago's North Lawndale neighborhood. The $68 million project by 548 Enterprise and Related Midwest will leverage the location's strengths for freight and logistics with a pair of industrial structures totaling 363,520 square feet. The development will also include two Innovation Centers that will serve as headquarters for Black Men United and New Covenant Community Development Corporation designed to maximize opportunities for the neighborhood. Uses will include community meetings and events, workforce development programs and community creation. An adjacent community park will provide community-based uses. In addition, the development will bring 500 permanent and temporary jobs to North Lawndale and create dedicated spaces for community groups to provide valuable services to local residents. The Industrial & Innovation Centers are part of the City of Chicago's INVEST South/West program. INVEST South/West is an unprecedented community improvement initiative that is strategically reversing decades of public and private disinvestment within the city's west and south side neighborhoods.
