As Vice President at Related Midwest, Terry Gillespie provides strategic oversight for all phases of major construction projects, managing preconstruction, financial oversight, contract negotiation, scheduling, risk management and resource allocation. Serving as the primary client liaison, he builds and sustains exceptional industry partnerships, focusing on achieving key milestones while maintaining budget integrity. Gillespie is currently assisting with the construction of Project H.O.O.D.’s Robert R. McCormick Leadership and Economic Opportunity Center, a three-story, 85,000-square-foot community center in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood, as well as 400 Lake Shore, a two-tower residential development located in downtown Chicago where Lake Michigan meets the Chicago River.
During his time at LR Contracting, Gillespie led the construction of The Row Fulton Market, a 43-story, 300-unit residential high-rise in Chicago’s historic Fulton Market District. He previously served as Senior Project Manager at McHugh Construction, where he worked on high-profile projects including the St. Regis Chicago hotel and condominium tower — the city’s third-tallest skyscraper — and Renelle on the River in the city’s River North neighborhood. His other projects include Midtown Five, a 400-unit luxury apartment building in Midtown Miami; Hubbard Place Apartments, a luxury high-rise in Chicago’s River North neighborhood; and the reconstruction of Wacker Drive, a large-scale modernization of the then 60-year-old thoroughfare in Chicago’s central business district.
Gillespie received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Marquette University and holds OSHA 30 certification. He also serves as Vice President of the Immaculate Conception Holy Name Society.
