Rebecca Callcott brings 30 years of architectural experience to Related Midwest. At Related, Callcott is responsible for managing the architectural and engineering teams for building projects from conceptual design to construction. She is currently managing Phase 1 of the 400 North Lake Shore Drive project, a 74-story luxury residential development adjacent to the Chicago River and including the extension of the riverwalk to future DuSable Park.
In her previous role as Technical Director at Gensler in Chicago, Callcott was responsible for technical development of multiple projects and staff. Project accomplishments included the $800 million conversion of the nationally landmarked Old Chicago Post Office into 2.5 million sf of office and amenity space; the Galleria, a 1.5 million square foot mall at Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi; the renovation and restoration the Kimpton Gray Hotel in Chicago; the TILT attraction at the 360 Chicago Observation Deck at the John Hancock Center, and the Vantage residential building in Oak Park. Prior to Gensler, Callcott was a principal at DeStefano Partners where her project experience included a diverse range of office, residential, retail, and educational projects.
Callcott graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor of architecture and holds a master’s degree in architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. She is a past president of Chicago Women in Architecture and member of the board of directors of the ACE Mentor Program Chicago.
