Related Midwest’s Taylor Street Apartments and Little Italy Branch Library development has been selected as one of 10 winners of the Urban Land Institute's (ULI) 2022 ULI Americas Awards for Excellence!
Selected from an impressive list of 21 projects, Taylor Street Apartments and Little Italy Branch Library was recognized as the winner in the small-scale development category. The mixed-use development includes affordable, market-rate and Chicago Housing Authority residential apartments and, of course, a public library branch.
Situated in Chicago's Near West Side neighborhood, the project displays Related Midwest’s commitment to community, allowing residents to enjoy soaring open spaces and daily-onsite events and programming such as lectures, workshops and book clubs.
ULI evaluates submissions on their overall excellence, including achievements in marketplace acceptance, design, planning, technology, amenities, economic impact, management, community engagement, innovation, and sustainability, among others. Winning projects represent the highest standards of achievement in the land-use profession, and Related Midwest is thrilled to see the work of our talented and committed team receive this honor.
As a winner of a ULI Americas Award for Excellence, Taylor Street Apartments and Little Italy Branch Library will now be submitted to the 2022 ULI Global Awards for Excellence along with the winners of the 2022 ULI Asia Pacific Europe Awards. The global jury meets this month to select the global winners. Stay tuned!
